Story and Graphics - It tells the story of nomad a member of a secret solider team on a mission to rescue a scientist by the Name of Rosenthall. You soon realize that you and the Koreans are not the only ones on the island as a mysterious force is picking off your team. The story is pretty decent and overall keep me playing throughout the 10 hours of story. While the games story is decent the graphics are still the best. The enviorment and textures look great and the use of the cry engine 3 makes the game run excellent. There is some graphical hitches such as a choppy frame rate when there is too much going on and due to the lack of antiailsing the trees and textures have rough edges witch can distract from the otherwise beautiful experience.
Game play- The game follows a similar premise of other fps's with a few twists. You have complete access the the nano suit which has 4 core functions Speed, Strength, Armor, and cloak. These can provide tactical advantages to the game giving you the option for example you can sneak around all the guards or you can go in guns a blazing with armor mode. There are also a decent variety of guns such as sniper rifles, rocket launchers, machine guns, shotguns as well as other "interesting weapons". You can also summon super human strength and grab enemys by the throat and throw them like rag dolls which is really fun. There are also side missions you can complete witch can help you get enemy locations helping you with future missions. Unfortunatly the non inclusion of the multiplayer expansion crysis wars can kill the replay value for this game since there is nothing else other than the story.
Bottom Line- Is the game worth a buy? Well that depends do you want to play crysis on your ps3 and want it to look good then pick it up from the playstation store or xbl marketplace. But if you want more replay value then look elsewhere the game is only for people that didnt yet experience the crysis story and want a fun time with the single player. This game is a solid 8.5 out of 10
